A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," posted Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge decided to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.
